The Covid Pause

It’s been awhile since I embarked on becoming a blogger. I realize that life has a way of setting its own priorities and since 2020 the world has experienced this in a way none of us could have expected. So much illness, so much loss. Just when you think you’re on a certain path, you have a plan and out of the blue there is something more, something very unexpected that you must endure. In our family we have lost our elderly most senior members from this wretched virus. My mother at the age of 86 in 2021, and a year later my father-in-law at 96. Many others in our family have managed to navigate successfully through the illness, but like every person on the planet we must stay diligent and never take for granted the gift of life. We learned quickly how precious it is and doing our best to remain in good health should be a priority. I mentioned before that I was a “Keto Diet Enthusiast”. That was until I started to loose my hair. I stopped that diet immediately and yes my hair stopped falling out but as an added bonus so did the weight. I found out quickly that it was easy to use this Covid-19 virus as an excuse to sit and over endulge with snacks containing unlimited amounts of carbs. How about you? Now of course, it’s time to say enough is enough! How much life are we (me) going to allow this Virus to take from us? Time to get serious and take back as much of what we’ve lost as possible. So that means address good health, proper diet, exercise, and spiritual growth. Take on a project, get with friends that you’ve haven’t been able to see, embrase the moment, because if we’ve learn anything over the past few years it’s that the phrase “tomorrow isn’t promised” is definitely a certainty. I wish us all the best as we put a new foot forward.
